Melinda Sharp has been an educator for 21 years serving special education students in grades kindergarten through seventh. For 10 years, she worked in an in-person school setting, and for the last 11 years, she has worked as a virtual teacher. Melinda has worked in small group, co-taught and general education settings to support students in their academic journeys. Melinda holds dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of North Georgia in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She holds a master’s degree from Georgia State University in Library and Media Technology. Melinda has also obtained her Tier 1 Leadership Certificate from the University of North Georgia. Most recently she completed her Orton-Gillingham training through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education. Melinda is excited to help students succeed in both reading and math.
